The Perdido Key Area Chamber of Commerce Breakfast Brief is held on the first Friday of each month and brings the community together to learn about and discuss important issues and updates that affect local residents and businesses.
Each month a community leader will speak on a topic relevant to life in and near Perdido Key.
January's speaker is Kiersten Wilson, Big Lagoon State Park
September 16, 2020 Hurricane Sally made landfall near Perdido Key and created waves of storm surge and pounding winds across the Gulf of Mexico coastlines, dumping more than 30 inches of rain in four hours in some areas.
Area parks suffered massive damage as a result of the slow moving storm. 2 years later, several areas of Perdido Key, both public and private, are still in the process of being repaired or reconstructed. Big Lagoon Park Manager, Kiersten Wilson will recap the damage sustained at Big Lagoon and provide updates on the completed projects.
Networking coffee will start at 7:30 AM and the program will begin at 8:00 AM and be followed by a question and answer session. Coffee, tea, and assorted pastries will be provided for attendees while supplies last.
The event is free to attend for pre-registered Perdido Key Area Chamber of Commerce members. Guests and non-registered Chamber members can pay $5.00 at the door.
